Small Business Selling Techniques

Building out and employing the best selling techniques isn’t a perfect science, and what works for one business may not work for another. In this blog post, we shared some of our tried and tested sales techniques that tend to have the biggest return on investment (ROI), regardless of variables such as product offering and established customer base. Implementing the three techniques in this GSG Capital blog post can help your business grow.

Use technology.

The internet has completely changed everything we do, including how we communicate, make purchases, and conduct business. Without a strong web presence, your business loses credibility. You can use your website to provide information about your company and your products, open the lines of communication between your company and the customer, and reach a larger customer base than before. You’ll also want to make sure your company’s website is comprehensive, clean, and easy to navigate. Additionally, add links to the social media applications that your company uses.

Build relationships.

Building relationships with your customers is not exactly a ground-breaking, brand new selling technique, but has stood the test of time simply because it works. Many business owners don’t put the effort into finding new customers, or development relationships with existing customers. As a result, they miss out on what a loyal customer relationship provides. Outside of your product offering, there’s one thing your customers want from you… to be valued. If you can make your customers feel important, while providing a high quality product, you will retain loyal customers who make repeat purchases and will spread the word about your business.

Solve a problem.

This is one of the most powerful selling techniques you can use. Take the time to find out what it is that your customers value about your product and use this information to your advantage. More than likely, your product solves a very specific problem for your customer, which is one of the biggest motivations behind buyer behavior. Learning to market your product as a solution will have your sales funnel overflowing in no time.
